How much are initial assessments:
£170: A thorough 1 hour assessment and personal management plan. This includes history taking, weight bearing and non-weight bearing assessments, Footscan pressure and gait analysis and further gait analysis and functional testing where appropriate.
How much are follow up appointments:
£75: Follow ups may include reviewing your treatment, developing exercises, reviewing or modifying orthotics or footwear, acupuncture, or ESWT (shockwave therapy). These are usually 30 minute appointments. Block packages are available for acupuncture, shockwave, gait training, running coaching and exercise therapy.
How much is a running or walking performance assessment?
£250: This 2 hour appointment is a unique offering where Sam performs the same musculoskeletal tests and gait analysis as in his initial assessments, however it is aimed at people who are looking at performance, injury prevention and training planning rather than specifically for an injury or niggle
You can also book this appointment type if you would just like more time with me or you think you have a complicated history impacting your running or walking that we need to unravel. We will also look at strength training for running and walking using a range of equipment at the gym and breathwork and posture, two of Sam's other passions.
How much do orthotics cost?
Prefabricated Orthotics range from £30 to £90 per pair
Custom and 3d printed range from £320-380 per pair.
Orthotic Assessment package £480: If you have already been assessed by another health professional and been told that you need custom foot orthoses (custom insoles) then contact me as I can often offer a discounted orthotic package rather than you having to pay for a full assessment again and then orthotics on top of this. The same applies if you are looking for repeat or replacement orthotics even if I did not supply the originals. This price includes a free fitting appointment and an adjustment if needed.
Pricing FAQs
Can I use insurance?
Yes. If you are with BUPA, please get a "gait analysis" appointment AA365 authorised prior to attending. I can then claim for your appointment and usually 1-2 follow ups.
Many other insurers will also cover my services, however you need to pay me, I provide a receipt and you then claim back through the insurer.
Can you write medical reports for me?
Can you refer me for scans?
Do I need a referral to see you?
No, you don't need a referral to see me.
Yes, I can write a range of letters, reports and referrals for your if needed and I do not usually charge any extra.
Yes, I can refer you for a range of scans, X-rays, Ultrasound, MRI and CT scans if needed and appropriate. These are on a case by case basis and I do not usually charge anything for referrals if you are an existing patient.
